I caught a blurb this evening from WKZO's blog that MDOT is having an open house
regarding the I-94/Westnedge Ave project. It will be at Portage City Hall from
4-7 pm this Wednesday (July 29). I'll definitely make the jaunt over for this,
as I have been looking forward to this project ever since it was announced
earlier this decade (before anyone ever thought of a stimulus). If anyone else
could make this open house given such short notice, I'd be more than happy to
have a mini-get-together afterward. (After all, we got a Grand Rapids meet just
about two months away that we have to plan. )

Kinda surprised MDOT doesn't have a presser on its site, as it usually gives at
least a week's notice for any open houses it holds. But then given the nature of
this project, there might be more meetings.
