On Google Maps I saw a license plate where the first 3 letters were GAY.
Thanks, Obama!
It was in Mexico though.

I have at least three pictures of different New York plated vehicles where the three letters on it are "FAP" and have seen dozens. They issued a lot of those.

Here's a couple I've spotted that are something else:

The first one is obviously a vanity plate that someone slipped by the DMV. The second appears to actually be a standard issue plate, Connecticut would have been issuing plates where the three letter combo started with W in 2008 or 2009, that picture was taken in 2011.
If you always take the same road, you will never see anything new.

I recently saw a Kansas license tag with FCK.

That's why he's letting the illegals stay!  :-D

Over here we have to use letters and numbers and have a gap so you can't have plates with just numbers or letters. Of course, numbers can be made to represent letters. The following are banned:
J1 HAD
BA57 ARD
TE57 CLE
All plates staring with SN07

The last two are rather dubious. Over censoring by my books :ded:

Heh. I took this picture at the Airbus car park in Filton in April 2007. I was originally taking a picture of the Porsche with "C 8BDG"–a group of friends of mine were working on a volunteer basis to restore Concorde G-BBDG at Brooklands and this guy was part of the team, hence his number plate.

But then I noticed the little Nissan parked next to him.

It was renumbered Order 491 in the Great Tacmark Incursion.

I know that I posted this in another license plate thread.  But I remember seeing a vanity plate a few years ago that I couldn't believe got through.  FUKLUZN...it was on a Japanese sports car, I don't remember which one now though.

I also remember one car's plate that I used to see parked at my friend's apartment complex...COPMGNT.  While it may not be obscene or anything, I would think it would cause him a lot of unnecessary stops to get his balls busted.

I think "FAP" is obscure enough so as not to show up on anybody's radar screen.

I was a bit surprised, however to find a Kentucky license plate with "AZZ" as the letter combination.

North Carolina seems to allow quite a lot of symbols. Some of them are "half-width".

How long before CJK Ideographs and the full Unicode range? :P

In ACME License Maker, you can make your tags say anything!

And speaking of questionable letter combos, I'm sure FUC, FUK and SHT falls under that category, for obvious reasons.
Go Cubs Go! Go Cubs Go! Hey Chicago, what do you say? The Cubs are gonna win today!

I was reminded by my screen saver (which is from my iPhoto collection of trip photos) that I spotted and photographed a plate with the letter prefix "FML" east of Wichita on US 400 last year. Can't remember if it was a Kansas or Missouri plate, though.

For the 1980 blue-on-white Ohio general issue, quite a few sets of plates with the letter combinations FCK and FCQ made it onto the streets before being recalled.
Don’t ask me how I know.  Just understand that I do.

Oh, I remember seeing a plate spelling "ARSON". But this was a while ago.

Saw a Florida plate yesterday that read "100 PLY." No idea whether it was personalized.

What does "CJK" mean in this instance?  These are my initials and my handle here.  What does that mean in your above quote?  :hmmm:
