More precisely at the northbound (upper-deck) at the US 1 North (Exit 27) gore.

Personally, I'm surprised that he wasn't hit by southbound/lower-deck traffic upon landing.

The viaduct & ramp in question were constructed in 2003 (based on the casting date) as part of the Central Artery North Area/Zakim Bridge project.  Such replaced the original early-70s vintage double-decker section of I-93 in that vicinity.  The limits of the 2003 viaduct end just north of the Exit 27 off-ramp.

It's amazing he survived with just a black eye...and didn't kill anyone in the process.  Thank got RMV permanently yanked his license.  Now he can rely on the MBTA like the rest of us poor schlubs!

It is my understanding that he was already driving without a license (was it already suspended for a previous infraction?).  If such didn't stop him from driving then (which led to the incident at hand); what's keeping him from illegally driving again?

Seeing the footage reminded me of the phrase (or variations of it) Milton Berle (as J. Russell Finch) in It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World kept saying during the very early part of the film.

"He just sailed right out there."
