Draft 2016—2019 Statewide Transportation Improvement Program is currently available for review and comment.

Appendix 8 has a proposed list of projects.  I found some interesting ones, including this one:
PID 99885
FRA SR 104 7.570
This project will realign SR 104 beginning 0.5 miles south of the existing interchange through the interchange to the bridge over the Scioto River. Existing braided ramps will be eliminated as the interchange is reconfigured.
(Appears to have funding for construction!  Anyone know how I can find drawings for the new configuration?)
Wait, it's all Ohio? Always has been.

District 6's FTP is a complete rat's nest shithole. This is all I've been able to find so far, but I like it:

ARMOURERERIC

Is that a shopping plaza they need to drop?

I honestly don't remember what used to be there, but it's just a vacant pad. The area is very industrial and on the bad side of the flood wall (runs along the west side of I-71.)

exit10

They'd really put an intersection there instead of building a coherent I-71/OH 104 interchange?

That's not worse than the current conditions.  To make a proper freeway-to-freeway interchange would be very expensive, isn't terribly needed now, and can eventually be done on top of this cheap reconfiguration.

The only major improvement I'd seriously argue for this time is a flyover ramp from I-71 SB to OH 104 NB (EB).  I don't see this project making that concept any less feasible.

It was a rendering plant.

One of the main problems with this interchange is that traffic going east on Frank Rd. as it joins 104 must stop at a light which is just past an overpass. There is a curve right before the overpass that prevents drivers from seeing it. Lots of surprise light changes and hidden stopped traffic with this one.

Using this interchange just "feels old" like it's from the '40s or '50s even though it's not nearly that old.

Ah, thanks. No doubt contributing to the area's fragrant charm.

That and the constant line of dump trucks playing chicken with an interstate off ramp. It definitely does have an old school feel to it.
