Noticed this the other day driving through eastern Ohio on I-70.  The distance from one exit to the next increases by one mile for five consecutive exits.  To wit:

Exit 154
Exit 155 (+1)
Exit 157 (+2)
Exit 160 (+3)
Exit 164 (+4)
Exit 169 (+5)

The next exit is 176, which breaks the pattern.

Any examples that go on longer?

The only pattern in Louisiana I could find more than 2 exits is on I-49:

Exit 1C
Exit 2 (+1)
Exit 4 (+2)
Exit 7 (+3)
Exit 11 (+4)

Fascinating observation. I've been going through there since the early '80s and never once thought of that.

Can anyone find the Fibonacci sequence anywhere? (I'd allow either a 1A/1B or just a single 1 to start out.)

The best I can think of off the top of my head is I-80/94 in Northwest Indiana: Exit 1 has two off-ramps from either direction (not signed as A and B, though), and then it's followed by 2, 3, and 5. There's got to be a better one, though.

Is there a 0 before it?
