Fixed that for me.

Why hasn't the world agreed on one tempeture system?

Do the weather agencies round up for certain centigrade temps like this, or keep it as these fractions for reports? I never got a firm yes or no answer when I was getting my meteorology degree in class, so I've always been curious

In Canada, they just round it to the nearest whole number.

As for my weather, it's currently 24C (76F) and partly cloudy :)

Which it can be, when doing scientific work. But having zero be a temperature that almost no one ever encounters in their life doesn't prove very useful for everyday activity. Hence why I think Celsius is superior day to day (and why I think it's superior to Fahrenheit as well).

Think everyone in the weather community would agree with you (including myself). Unfortunately we live in a very stubborn country  :-D

Surprisingly, the most recent time it has been above 90 here in northeastern Massachusetts is July 21, despite normally being the hottest part of the year. Not only that, but it's not expected to get above 90 for any of the next 10 days.

^ Pretty much following what the 6-10 and 8-14 day outlooks were suggesting in late July. Trough is being stubborn to leave but it did help to suppress the western ridge. It's still hot, but not as bad.

The weather is very iffy here in Orlando, FL. All week is supposed to be highs of 32 C (90 F), but there's also risks of thunderstorms for the next 5 days that I'm here . Today was supposed to be thunderstorms, and it's been partly cloudy instead, so I'm hoping the forecast will be wrong again...

In my experience, Florida is rarely ever thundery all day. Partly cloudy in the morning and mid-day, and then a storm rips through in the late afternoon, followed by a beautiful partly-cloudy sunset.

Then thunderstorms overnight off the retreating sea breeze. Watching storms over the ocean is some of the most calmest things to do for me.

Set a new record high for today. Sky has a moderate amount of wildfire smoke that drifted over.

There was a small Christmas section at a Cracker Barrel I went to. They said that it had already been up there for too weeks!

98F just landing in Fresno, there has been talk of 109F this next week.  Sounds like I'll be going to Sierras after the holiday next week.

High 80s and smokey.

Tomorrow is forecast at 95 degrees, with wildfire smoke continuing to smother.

Life without an air conditioner is hellish.

Life without an air conditioner is hellish.

I'm surprised more people in this area don't invest in a room-sized A/C unit. I have one just for my bedroom so that I can sleep at night. It was only $500. Every summer it's the same fucking story. Apparently, no one around here has A/C because it's never hot enough. Bullshit. It's in the 70s, 80s, and 90s every day for three months every year. It's worth the investment.

It just wasn't necessary for decades here. Prior to the 2009 heat wave, a lot of towns had never recorded temperatures above 95 degrees. Things have accelerated over the last few years, however, and many new homes come with air conditioning.

My HOA forbid air conditioning until recently due to the strain it would put on our shared electrical grid. And $500 is actually a fair bit to spend on (what was) a few days of discomfort per year.

It is a fact that most homes here still lack AC. A 2013 housing survey showed only 16 percent of occupied units had AC. Since 2010, 25 percent of new apartments have come with AC.

Hot and smoky and humid.  Generally yucky.  Visibility maybe 3/4 mile.

Summer used to be a great time in the Pacific Northwest.  Generally no more than a week or two with highs above 80, generally sunny.  But this year it's been a lot hotter, plus the smoke never seems to go away for long.  Summer is what we look forward to during month after month of thick low clouds and drizzle.
