Is this just becoming just Kentucky state routes and Texan FM roads.

Yep.  There aren't any other systems in the United States that sign numbers this high.  Louisiana has numbers starting in the 3000's but that's all we have for consistent sources of numbers in the current range, save for international road systems.

I use the Texas FM roads as a last resort.  To add interest to the thread, my first searches are for the A- and B- roads in the UK, which have been pretty good picture-wise.  After that, I'll try different search iterations, including foreign-language ones.  This has lead to successful finds from places like, France, Spain, Thailand, Namibia, and plenty of others that I can't remember.  Formulanone seems to have a lot of county route pictures

There have been several UK B-Routes and some French D-routes ("Departmental") which are equivalents.

I'm trying my best to provide some county routes, but I didn't categorize many of my four-digit numbers until recently.

Considering the prevailing attitude was that we'd run out of numbers around 600-700, we're doing alright.

Louisiana runs out of numbers around 1260 or so, and then comes back at 3000-32xx.

Does this screengrab of the A1328 from Johnny English Reborn count? It's a (rather well made, unlike the terrible film itself) sign for a fictional town with a fictional road number that they put in on a private vehicle testing road (either MIRA or Millbrook Proving Ground). Just to add yet another British A road to the 1300s for 'variety', even though this isn't a real one.

British A roads have few left until 2000, and the B roads will dry up in just over 200 (again, kicking back in at 2000). Irish L roads might provide some all the way through the 1000s - it depends whether there's photos of the newish signs. The D roads tend to be old N roads - useful for having pictures, but few in the higher end of the 1000s (there's a sprinkling in the 2000s too).

This same game was done years ago, as were a number of other related games.

Plus you take away GSV and it won't go anywhere as hardly anyone posts their photos online anymore.

I know this was from the first page, but these game threads (although ironically, not this one, because I didn't get here until it was into the 1000s) have actually prompted me to not only post my pictures online, but to much more actively go out and take pictures.

I don't think I would've even started taking road sign photos if it wasn't for these threads. Before joining AARoads,  my photos were more focused on roadside landscapes and state welcome signs.

Same - I don't think I was doing any sign photography at all before these started. Shame I didn't get into it earlier, as I don't do nearly as many long road trips as I used to.

(And I'm still lurking in this thread, though I have nothing more to contribute on account of my state having exactly two route numbers over 600, both of which were passed months ago.)

I kind of have a similar thing, where previously my focus was mostly on highways that were soon not-to-be. For example, MN-101 in Carver County, which has been in a slow process of elimination as improvement projects have occurred, was one of the first roads I ever took pictures of. MN-120 is another early example, although for whatever unknown reason, it still exists today. I suppose that pesky problem of running along a county line has made turnback to the counties difficult.

Lately, though, I've been going on trips just to get pictures of every state highway junction that's reasonably nearby. :)

What numbers are covered by the Texas bikers?
Their homepage (https://sites.google.com/site/txfarmranchroads/) has sections that purportedly go though 1999.  I'm not sure if every route is covered, but they seem to be.

They're missing a few of them.
