Two notes:

It would be 401 miles, not 401 km.

More importantly, you should be wary of using Raymond Yu's photos. He's been known to alter photos of legitimate signs, and make it really hard to tell that he's done so. This particular sign photo may be legitimate though.*

* AARoads Nevada page on I-15 has a pic of this sign with distance to SLC as 405 miles. Raymond Yu's photo looks like that same sign has been patched to a 401. Google Maps shows the sign replaced with identical legend and the distance to SLC is now 401. (I recall NDOT's older mileage signs north of Las Vegas did have inconsistent distances, so it's feasible the sign in this photo was patched.)

I'm so used to writing KM that it just kind of slipped in there.  Thanks for the correction.  And regarding Mr. Yue, I always use GSV to verify the signs with his pictures.
