Looks like it's time for 243:

FL 243 outside Jacksonville International Airport:

SC 243 on northbound I-85:

This one has a story...OH 243 near Sunrise, Ohio:

The camera shutter went into self-destruct mode, which was common for 1st-generation Canon DSLRs. Too much light would pass though to the image sensor, and the shutter would interfere with the mirror assembly, causing some image duplication. So I only took a few more photos with this camera before replacing it with another.

QC 243 off A-10

I've also got a Vermont 243.  About a mile south of Canada, as you can see.  January 26, 2006.

And then another Québec 243 around Mansonville.  January 26, 2006.

The only variety I can add is a Virginia 243.  March 20, 2007.

Photos I post are my own unless otherwise noted.

It seems I have a bunch of catching up to do.  I've been on trip to AZ/UT and Vegas.

I'll start with a current sign...a sign of the times, if you will.  Here's IN-244

Back in the game with CA 245:

IMG_5829 by Max Rockatansky, on Flickr

Interestingly that junction in the photo with CA 245 on the left and Dunlap Road on the right has had a hell of a backstory.  CA 180 used to come in from the right and continue north to the modern alignment.  CA 65 was the original highway and would have ended at said junction at CA 180 until maybe 1942 when it was extended to the modern CA 180 to the north.  Eventually there was much grander plans for CA 65 to become a relief route for CA 99 which led to the gapped highway that is around today.  That being the case CA 69 was signed over what was CA 65 but apparently the sign theft was absurdly high given the area is extremely remote hence it was renumbered to CA 245.  Really it is one of my favorite state highways given the crazy backstory and even crazier twisted up route, not the most scenic but probably one of the best drives in the state...even got a full Flick album:

I don't have any pictures of the route itself, just a picture of a route shield in my sign collection. So, for your glorious viewing experience, the MN-247 marker residing in my collection:

Those National Forest Routes in Arizona and New Mexico are surprisingly well signed.  It isn't too uncommon to see the NF shields around both states, I always wondered why there was such an emphasis there but not elsewhere in the country?

Reminder that 248's are now eligible.  I don't think I have any.

I did forget a 247 from yesterday though
