A few catchups, as I recover from eye surgery.

Error (in more ways than one) US 395 business route marker in Ridgecrest CA, taken in 2012:

County 390 and 365 markers in Makawao HI, with the bloated version of the state route marker sometimes used (and thankfully disappearing) from county routes on Maui:

QC 389 sign, with lights on the board indicating closed segments for this remote highway south from Labrador:

Cool sign, but I can't help but think of the Cliff Hangers game from The Price is Right:

A bit overdue for 399.

Nothing impressive, another county route shield up in the northeast corner of Alabama:

I can offer a Texas FM 399.  Taken on US 84.  November 21, 2003.

I expect we'll be seeing a lot from Ontario for the next week or so once we advance again.

There's really only one place to go for a proper start to 400. On the ramp from I-285 westbound:

I don't have photos of all the 400-series highways, but I have a good chunck of them. Here's the 400 and highway 12 concurrency north of Barrie, ON.

For my 400 (and also a backtrack to 305), here's an ancient and no-longer-posted Maui county 305 marker in Waiko HI, with the original 400 route number still visible. This sign followed Maui County's unusual old color scheme (which I liked) for distinguishing county from state route markers, by reversing the colors.

Definitely much better than the fugly mutant (bloated teardrop background, nonstandard and undersized font) version of the state marker later used for a few years on Maui, here for county 320 in Wailuku:

The county has since gone back to using the exact same design for county route markers as for state markers, here at the junction of county 330 and state 340:

Mine was in 2014, interesting to see how much the growth recovered in the background.  The only reason I remember it at all was that I had to pass through Darlington which I'm fairly familiar with due to the Speedway.  I was on my way from Florida up to New Jersey for a family reunion and I was heading to Skyline Drive in Shenadoah National Park that particular day.

Truvelo

Ontario 401 has already been played so I'll post one with a different style shield :colorful:
