I didn't know they had a competition and I also didn't know there was a "People's Choice" aspect to it as well.

CT DOT took top honors for the completion of the new Q-Bridge in New Haven as well as the reconstructed and widened I-95/I-91/CT-34 interchange.

FL DOT won the "People's Choice" for the Eller Drive Intermodal Container Transfer Facility Overpass project.
I only take pics of good looking signs. Long live non-reflective button copy!

FDOT and other DOT's had been tweeting for followers to vote for their respective projects throughout the fall. Several good ones were nominated this year, and the Q Bridge was against the I-635 LBJ Express, which is equally a significant accomplishment.

Kentucky had an entry a couple of years ago. Unfortunately there's no way to limit the number of votes one person can cast, so we lost to Florida in a blatant case of ballot-box stuffing.
Government would be tolerable if not for politicians and bureaucrats.

The various DOT's encourage it too FWIW.
