Hmm, I maybe could have excluded floods since we recently did them, but what the hey. :-)

Well, I'm not sure it still qualifies as an "emergency", but...

Possibly stretching the definition of "during", but this is the intersection of Church St and E Ponce de Leon Ave in Decatur, GA (where, decades ago, US 29 entered from the right, turned, and continued into the background) in the aftermath of the infamous inch of snow that crippled the region in 2014.

While heading home from Binghamton with a few friends on November 23, 2013, there was a major backup on I-81 just south of Hoxie Gorge.  I got out of the car and stood in the middle of the road to take this picture just to say I stood in the middle of I-81:

There were two crashed cars, one on each end of the Hoxie Gorge bridge.  Here's one of the cars, which I think was at the north end of the bridge:

A little over a week ago, I was visiting my friend who lives in Oneida, and I had to detour around this on NY 365 south of Verona:

Here's more pictures from the storm (and tornado, which I missed).

EDIT: I forgot to mention the flooding in Utica.  Here's a picture:

Here's the page the picture is from.  There's a few articles with pictures on the Big Frog 104 website, so look around.

This 6-car wreck was on I-70 EB west of Topeka last August. We hit the heavy traffic about 1 1/2 miles behind this. We couldn't see over the hill so we didn't know what was going on until we got much closer. Both lanes were blocked, so all traffic was forced to exit. It took well over 30 minutes to get past this mess. By the time we got there, crews had made considerable progress on the cleanup. A local TV station got some pictures of the more immediate aftermath: https://twitter.com/wibwRick/status/769281581542354944

QuoteJuly 11th, 2017: Post photos of signs that subtly hint as to their location but do not immediately give it away.

I've been saving up this challenge for quite a while! I first tried posting it in April, actually Here's my photo:

For example, in my photo, the routes are  "M" and "O", which equal MO, Missouri, and the destination is Lexington, therefore this is in or near Lexington, Missouri. I suppose the secondary letter routes kind of give it away as well. This one, its location is a little more obvious than I intend for the photos you guys will post.

A good one for you would be to find a city in Connecticut with a connector route that was signed for example Hartford CONN

You were correct that you didn't get the challenge.

In my example CONN would be short for Connector but would also inadvertently say Hartford was in Connecticut because CONN can be an abbreviation for Connecticut.

CT would not work in this context unless it was being used as the abbreviation of court.
