What's the Challenge for May 19th gonna be? It's up to somebody west of EDT to squeeze one in!

MNHighwayMan

Unless there's going to be an official decree about it, looks like there isn't going to be a May 19, 2017 challenge. It's May 20 where I am.

Best example of this for me is a portion of my sign collection on the wall:

Here's three, all taken on the same day, during the start of an evening storm last summer:

Mine very rarely come out well since we don't stop for the pictures, but some that are at least readable.  Amazingly enough, my original Sony FD-7 camera (now a 20-year-old model) took better night pictures than any digital camera I've had since.

How about I-476 in Philadelphia?  December 12, 2000.

Well, the rules are silent on what happens if no Challenge is posted, but there is one for a Challenge that is unanswered, in which case it may be closed at any time by posting a single valid Answer. I see no reason why the same can't apply here, so as long as you've got a photo to submit, you can post it as a one-shot Challenge for May 19th. Basically a "get out of jail free" card for someone to post a favorite photo. :-D

No further Answers to that Challenge would then be allowed, but it would become eligible for the next monthly re-cap (so don't make it too obscure!). Also, don't forget that we're up to Franklin Pierce in the presidential sub-Challenge.

I have posted this photo before (I think in the unique signs thread). There are several of these trail signs with the penny-farthing around Kitchener, and my family thinks they're funny. I mean, these signs don't look old enough to have penny-farthings on them. Who's idea was this? :-D
