... and possibly the only state trunkline in the nation on which there has not been a motor vehicle accident (because there are no motor vehicles).

I actually like the idea of putting the END/ENDS sign underneath, it feels more appropriate there. Cardinal directions and Business/Alternate/Truck etc go on top, spatiality (including ending and beginning) goes underneath.

Ontario uses "ends" and puts the tab underneath

Well, that's what Louisiana does at freeway exits, so there are plenty of examples of that. I'll give just one:

QuoteMay 31st Challenge => Post road-related photos that also happen to include a rainbow (or part of a rainbow):

I have three contributions, all of which capture part of the same rainbow.

This first one is from off of TN 153 (limited-access) Southbound at the TN 317; Bonny Oaks Drive interchange in the Chattanooga, Tennessee area:

This second one is from off of Interstate 75 Southbound in Ringgold, Georgia about to pass under GA SR 151 at Exit 348:

This third one is off I-75 South in the same general area (Ringgold, GA), but a little ways past the previous picture - this one also highly captures the mountainous ridge that runs through the region - and, this picture by far has the best view of the rainbow:

Now alternating between different highway shields for my avatar - my previous highway shield avatar for the last few years was US 76.

There's no road signs, but you can see Highway 21 in the photo. Anyway, here's a double rainbow just south of Forest, ON taken in the summer of 2014.

Not the best photo, nor particularly interesting roads-wise...but eminently appropriate for this Challenge, especially if you zoom in. ;-)

I just photographed a rainbow yesterday for the first time in YEARS, and this is the challenge for today?  COMPLETELY AMAZING.  This is more a rainbow photo that also happens to include a road, but I figure this is close enough, because come on.  I took this YESTERDAY!

I am glad that I made your day, Paul!  ;-)

After the rainy spring, I just had some really good road/rainbow pictures in my collection and thought that it would make for a neat challenge.
