K-7's northern terminus is on an Indian reservation at the Nebraska state line. The road doesn't have a number on the Nebraska side, but it eventually connects with US 159 a few miles to the north.

Challenge: Post signage for lower-tier, state-level signed route systems.

Explanation: for states (or provinces, or international equivalent) having secondary route systems, post photos that include signage for secondary routes. For states/provinces that have tertiary state systems (or lower), post photos that contain tertiary (or lower) routes. (Photos can also include higher-tier routes, but must include the lowest tier that is present in that state/province.)

Route systems lower than state level–i.e., county routes or any municipal systems–do not count. Neither do unsigned systems (like NY's reference routes or PA's quadrant routes). Also, states with only a single tier of state-level routes are not eligible.

Technically, the F-routes in Virginia are a primary system...

Aren't those the same as the primary route marker? How does one distinguish the two?

Arkansas doesn't have a lower tier below primary state routes, unless you count the Recreation routes, which are funded by the Marine fuel tax.

As far as the 88 goes, that's just a sign shop glitch, which has been happening a lot more over the last few years.

Oh, OK. If a state doesn't have anything below primary routes, it doesn't fit for this Challenge. Now, what exactly counts as a lower-tier system, such as these Recreation routes, I'm kind of leaving up to interpretation (as long as it's a consistently marked system).

That's not quite what we're looking for either, then (unless perhaps it were signed differently from the regular state highways). The idea is to illustrate the different signage used for these secondary systems, particularly since it often seems to be more interesting than the primary routes! :-)

Louisiana is out. But I'm assuming Texas's FMs, RMs, spurs and loops count here.

I figured Texas might raise a few questions; specifically, which of its many systems is the "lowest" tier (and thus the one that has to be included in order for it to count)? But, we'll just leave that open for interpretation as well. :-)

West Virginia's "county" routes, which are in reality state routes.

Government would be tolerable if not for politicians and bureaucrats.

No, as this is still a road-related challenge thread. If you can get a shot with the road included, then sure!
