No need to apologize for this; we'll just credit you with having found a creative loophole to the time expiration. :-) Anyway, I think most people would find five consecutive posts to be the much greater transgression than the placeholders (though I realize this may not be your exact motivation).

I know I don't make the rules, but I feel the challenge was made way too early. Come on, 6 pm?!

6 p.m. EDT (and my forum daylight time), but I'm in CEST which is six hours ahead EDT, and thus it was already past midnight. I took the time difference to my advantage .

Also, I could post a new challenge for September 1st now if I wanted thanks to exactly that, but I leave that for you.

And don't forget, you answer a Challenge according to your own time zone, just as you can post one. So even if he did post tomorrow's Challenge at 6pm today, you'd still be answering today's Challenge.

So I can post at 7pm and claim GMT?

I actually meant to type "AND", but typed "OR" by mistake. (IX = 9 in Roman numerals, because it's September 1st.)

I guess I really could have messed it up by choosing "XOR".

Regarding challenge threads, I think consecutive posts are discouraged unless 24 hours have passed.

August 27: Mississippi River bridges

Living in Louisiana, I've been over plenty of MS River bridges but I only have pictures of one crossing to play here. This is I-40 WB from Memphis into Arkansas.

Also, I have finally figured out more of what the hurricane evacuation sign says that I posted in Reply # 2270. After looking at it some more, I've figured out that at the top it says "HURRICANE EVACUATION BUS STOP," but I still can't figure out the rest. It's definitely interesting, because I don't know if I've ever seen signage like that specifically before.

That almost look fairly new compared to that SR 664 sign, looks as though it had the actual numbers posted there at first. Either way someone in that county must've felt a certain way about it
