January 14, 2018: Two or more state routes with inconsistent shield types, other than differences solely due to number of digits.

Georgia can definitely deliver on this one.

Fayetteville — 85/92 in early-2000s-style shape, 54s in 1990s style.



Same thing here: GA 60 in 1990s style, GA 332 in early-2000s style.



And finally in Lawrenceville: GA 20 in early-2000s style, GA 124 in 2010s style. (Our state route shield gets tweaked a lot.)

The only thing that was added to this one was "or village, township, etc."–which I took to mean that only organized municipalities and civil divisions were allowed (not unincorporated places).

I took that to include but not necessarily limited to incorporated places. "etc." supports an expansive interpretation.

Yup, I took it to mean that as well–it wasn't so specific as to permit taking only one possible meaning. So, moral of the story: include in your post any restrictions you want to apply, and accept any unexpected variations on the spirit of your Challenge as happy accidents. :-)

Why do we need Daylight Savings in January?

It's to help make up for all the countless times people say "Central Standard Time" in the middle of summer.  (This is a big pet peeve of mine.  The company my wife sells for is headquartered in Idaho, and it tends to announce that certain promotions begin or certain products are available starting at, for example, "3:00 AM Mountain Standard Time on July 1".  Of course, if she logs on at 5:00 AM Central Daylight Time, she's an hour late for the launch.)

I'll avoid the ubiquitous MLK Jr Blvd, and go with one "Martin", one "Luther", and one "King".

You know, I hadn't even noticed that little goof.

That sign was installed sometime between October 2015 and March 2016, per GSV, at the same time that the old exit 9 sign was replaced. There was no signage for I-20 on this gantry before that.

–Include only the text on the main sign panel, not any tabs or auxiliary panels.
–There can be other signs/shields in the photo, but apply the Challenge to only the principal sign.
–Variation: A second shield (or more) on the same sign can be allowed, if the number in each shield equals the number of letters in a separate word in the sign (i.e., not the sum of all letters), accounting for all words with no remainder. EXAMPLE: Shields for 4 and 6 can accompany a sign reading "Pine Valley" but not "South Utica" nor "Pine Valley Ridge".
