May 8Th:Post pictures of reversable lanes and signs.

Here's one of several for the reversible "zipper lane" on part of Interstate H-1. This one shows the "Zipmobile" converting one eastbound lane back to the usual two westbound lanes, at the end of the morning rush.

Lots of other zipper lanes out there, including one on I-66 crossing the Potomac River, but I don't have any photos.

Challenge for May 7th: A picture of at least 2 highway shields, where one is divisible by the other. (Excluding 1)

As a side challenge, I wonder what the highest answer will be...

Hawaii has several junctions between 2-digit primary routes and 3-digit secondary routes, with the latter 10x the former. Jim has already posted one. There are two junctions between 2-digit routes and 4-digit children, with the child route number 100 times the parent number. But one of those pairs (HI 56/5600) the 4-digit route is unsigned, and the other (HI 30/3000) the junction opened just last month so I don't have pix of whatever signage is at the junction.

So I'll make do with another 2di/3di example, this one on Maui featuring mismatched route number fonts (310 used to be signed as part of 31, so its sign is much newer):

Does it have to be an exit? Because if not, here's three of them.

If it does, then here's the MN-13 exit on I-35E.

And the second one:

While looking for the second image, I saw these too.  I didn't think of them until seeing them in the album.  Do they count?

Just as a reminder, the monthly recap for May remains open through today, June 1st, due to being posted late. (And I'm pretty sure we have at least one side Challenge still open, but for the life of me I can't remember what the status is...)

The Rudolph one and the "highest number in each state" one both seem to be dead. You're probably thinking of the alphabetical country challenge.

The country one was a whole other thread. (...wasn't it??)

It was the challenge for alphabetical state names on things that are not the state.  I think we were somewhere in the N's.

Why are they signing I-430 one hundred miles away, as opposed to something like Russellville or Conway?

You'd have to ask ARDOT.

My first photo here was one of two meet photos, from the April 2010 Baltimore meet. This is just the smaller group that went after the meet to a then-under construction exit ramp from WB MD 200 (Inter-County Connector) to NB MD 97 (Georgia Ave.). I'm the one with the hideously pasty legs, definitely needed more sun.

May 8th Challenge: Post pictures of reversible lanes and signs.

These first two photos are off of I-75 Southbound in the southern Atlanta Metro Area, and they showcase the reversible tolled express lanes on this section of I-75. Both of these pictures were taken on I-75 South right near the interchange with I-675 and the beginning of these express lanes:

This picture is from off of I-75 Northbound in the Kennesaw, GA area (in the northern Atlanta Metro Area), showcasing the reversible tolled express lanes there to the left - this is very close to the northern terminus of these lanes:

This picture, taken in May 2016, of a semi-permanent END sign posted on MN-210 at Jay Cooke Rd, just west of the section that had been destroyed by a flood in 2012 and was still being reconstructed. The road has since been completed and re-opened.

That's interesting. If I personally was the one who decided, I probably would have chosen Conway for that spot, rather than I-430.
