I always feel the Challenge isn't complete until someone else posts an entry, so here's one which is also the wrong shape.

That's so weird.  I was just planning a trip that takes me down Ohio 303.
That sign is the wrong color AND shape (orientation, really)--but it fits the bill as I wrote it so it works.

QuoteApril 12, 2019:  Today is 4-12.  In honor of US412, post routes that defy the numbering scheme of the system they belong to, as long as that system has almost all of their routes adhering to that numbering scheme. (i.e. a route that's defying a pattern that only a handful of routes follow doesn't count.)

There is already a challenge for today.

That photo is almost 7 years old, so the sign might be gone by now.

Yeah, that's what I'm going for. Physical features rather than cities. Landform, landmark, whatever you want to call it.

Landform, then–assuming you mean natural (physiographic) features. Landmarks could well be man-made.

It wouldn't be this forum if we didn't get caught up on wording.

Eastbound Interstate H-1 west of Honolulu, with both a morning rush-only HOV-3 zipper lane in two normally westbound lanes, and a conventional HOV-2 carpool lane. (That part of the freeway was widened after I was last out there, so maybe full shoulders have been restored.)

Requesting permission to nullify the 3-photo limit per person, to maximize the number of states represented.  This one is from Oregon along OR-35.

From WI-55 in the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest, near Langlade, WI.

I also have one from Green Mountain National Forest, near Wallingford, VT, but it's too blurry to be any good.

edit. just realized this is technically a unisign, but only because that's how Wisconsin does everything...I can take it down if requested
