And on Kauai, HI 56 and HI 560, where the Kuhio Hwy. changes from a two-digit primary to a three-digit secondary route:

I probably could find lower-48 examples in my photo inventory (and at least one more in Hawaii), but I used up my three-photo quota without leaving Hawaii.

QuoteFebruary 21, 2020: Route Sign Blackjack - photos with two route signs (or more) which total 21 or less. No splits, and don't go over...

Note: I read that the maximum number of cards you can actually get in a blackjack hand is 11...if you get a lot of aces, dueces, threes; no splits with a single deck. With a split, 14 cards.

I think we might need to add the stipulation that no sign number used should exceed 11.  "Hey look I got a 2 of clubs and a 14 of spades" haha.

Wow, that is a lot harder than it sounds. I went through my entire 3600+ photo collection and couldn't find a single one that wouldn't require some sort of cheating (either two signs for the same route, or cropping the photo to exclude a neighboring sign). Stupid US routes foiling all the potential state route combos around here...

2+2+5+5 = 14

4+3+3A = 10 (that should be US 3, not MA 3)

10+4 = 14

I also had a 16+5, but there are no 16 cards in blackjack.

It's almost impossible to do this with Utah because of a lack of low route numbers. Until SR-7 is extended to meet SR-9, this is likely the only possible answer in that state:

I had a hard time finding good candidates, outside of Prince Edward Island (lots of low-numbered routes intersecting each other and TCH 1), the best one already taken by Paul.

For some others:

New Brunswick 7 and 8, and TCH 2 = 17:

Alaska 2 and 5, and Yukon 9 = 16 (photo taken 2001):

New Jersey 4 and 17 = 21 (perfect, except there's no 17 in a blackjack deck):
