Haven't had a chance to look through it really closely yet. As previously expected, the Bella Vista Bypass is listed for a Spring 2020 letting date. :)

https://ksisradio.com/modot-to-receive-over-20m-grant-to-replace-bridges/

Quote
MoDOT is set to receive over $20-million in federal grant money to assist in replacing 40 bridges in rural northern Missouri.

Governor Mike Parson's office says MoDOT will be able to replace 40 bridges in the northern part of the state as a result of an announcement by Congressman Sam Graves, in which Missouri has received a $20.7 million federal grant through the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Competitive Highway Bridge Program.

Parson's office says the bridges, all located north of I-70, are in poor condition, weight-restricted, supported by timber pile, and one-lane wide but carry two-way traffic. In addition to removing current detours and preventing future ones, the grant will help increase safety on the state’s rural roads and reduce costs associated with maintaining the bridges.

"Missouri's infrastructure, specifically bridge infrastructure, has been a key focus for our administration since day one. This grant continues the momentum we’ve gained in recent months to invest in infrastructure improvements," Governor Parson said. "Missouri’s farm-to-market roads are critical connections to Missouri’s highways, railways, and waterways, allowing our farmers to compete in the global marketplace. The bridges that will be replaced as a result of this grant would have posed obstacles to that connectivity had they been further weight restricted or closed."

“When this project is complete, there will be no bridges remaining in northern Missouri that meet those criteria,” State Bridge Engineer Dennis Heckman said. He said the bridges, on average, are 77 years old and deteriorating rapidly.

Only 25 states were eligible to apply for the $225 million in the Competitive Highway Bridge Program – those with a population density of 100 or less per square mile, according to a press release from Parson's office. The grant also required that bridges be bundled in a single contract.

MoDOT intends to pursue a design-build contract to deliver this project.

The Competitive Highway Bridge Program grant comes on the heels of an $81.2 million Infrastructure for Rebuilding America (INFRA) grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation to build a new I-70 Missouri River Bridge at Rocheport.

Receipt of the INFRA grant will also trigger $301 million in state bonding, authorized by the Missouri General Assembly during the 2019 legislative session, that will repair or replace another 215 bridges across the state.

“We are poised to deliver these bridge improvement projects as quickly, efficiently, and innovatively as possible,” MoDOT Director Patrick McKenna said. “We are grateful to Congressman Graves, Governor Parson, and Missouri legislators for their support of additional investment in transportation in Missouri.”

When Missouri received INFRA grant for the I-70 Rocheport bridge, it triggered a 301 million dollar grant to fix bridges around the state.

https://www.modot.org/focus-bridges
Quote

Missouri has 10,384 bridges – the sixth most in the nation. More than 900 of those bridges are in poor condition and 1,131 are weight restricted. Four hundred and thirteen bridges fall into both categories.

Gov. Mike Parson recognized the need for additional funding for infrastructure projects in our state and in January 2019 put forth a proposal to repair or replace hundreds of the state’s worst bridges.

As passed by the 2019 General Assembly and signed by the Governor, $50 million was appropriated from State General Revenue to replace or repair 45 bridges in Fiscal Year 2020. In July, MoDOT received an $81.2 million INFRA Grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation that will facilitate the construction of a new I-70 Missouri River Bridge at Rocheport and I-70 climbing lanes at Mineola Hill in Montgomery County - two significant improvements to the I-70 freight corridor. The grant will also trigger a $301 million bonding program, authorized by the legislature in the 2019 session and to be repaid over seven years from State General Revenue, that will repair or replace an additional 215 bridges across the state - freeing up $301 million from the current Statewide Transportation Improvement Program for new transportation improvement projects

Not only will this program enable us to fix hundreds of poor bridges throughout the state, it will also enable us to deliver additional high-priority transportation projects statewide using the funding already dedicated to these bridges in our current construction program and for which our nationally recognized local planning process will be used.

Going forward, I will try to highlight the bridge projects that are a part of the Focus on Bridges program. I will go back to some of the previous listings this year and highlight those projects as well. The list of bridges being replaced are located at: https://www.modot.org/sites/default/files/documents/STIP%20Bridges%202020-2023%20trimmed%20down_update_1.pdf

https://ksisradio.com/modot-to-receive-over-20m-grant-to-replace-bridges/

I found the grant application for these bridges. The bridges that will be replaced are listed on page 6 of the pdf.

The Missouri Department of Transportation has announced a $278 million project to revamp Interstate 270 in north St. Louis County.

The project will improve safety and reliability along I-270 from Interstate 70 on the west to the western part of Riverview Drive, according to a release. The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission on Wednesday selected Millstone Weber as the design-build contractor for the project, which is expected to begin in spring 2020 and be completed by December 1, 2023.

MoDOT and Millstone Weber will collaborate over the next few months to plan their approach. Expected improvements include:

Reconstruct interchanges at U.S. Route 67 (Lindbergh), Hanley/Graham roads, New Florissant Road, Washington Street/Elizabeth Avenue, West Florissant Avenue, New Halls Ferry Road, Old Halls Ferry Road and Route 367
Additional lane of pavement on I-270 in both directions from U.S. Route 67 (Lindbergh) to Route 367
Improve accessibility for bicycles and pedestrians with shared use paths from Lindbergh to Breezy Point Lane along Dunn Road, and from Hanley/Graham roads to Old Halls Ferry Road along Pershall Road
Improve safety with an updated outer road system that includes outer road conversions and removal of crossover slip ramps

“Seeing this project come to fruition is great progress for the community, the region and the entire state of Missouri,” said MoDOT Director Patrick McKenna. “The I-270 North Project is MoDOT’s largest single project in the last decade. It will replace aging infrastructure, enhance safety and resiliency of the system and improve mobility for freight and passengers, all while creating an economic boost for nearby communities. MoDOT’s design-build model to scale the scope of work to match existing resources has worked well for us, and I believe it will with this project, too."

The project is in response to safety concerns along the interstate. MoDOT said both directions of I-270 have higher than average rates of severe crashes in addition to higher-than-average crash rates, with eastbound I-270 showing an average crash rate 30% higher than the statewide average for interstates.

Also, the interstate is heavily used and is one of the heaviest traveled interstates in Missouri. About 140,000 vehicles, of which 18% are heavy trucks, travel it daily, MoDOT said.

The Millstone Weber team includes Parsons Transportation Group, Horner and Shifrin, CBB, Terracon, Pace Construction and Excel Business Concepts.

^ MoDOT's website has one image for the proposed redesign of the US 67 interchange, and one for the MO 367 interchange.

The best way I can think of at the moment to describe the US 67 interchange is a volleyball without one of the free-flow levels.  Looks like the eastbound to northbound will feature a triple left.

I am not sure whether it's not in the picture or if the rebuild of the MO 367 interchange gets rid of the SB to EB movement entirely.

I just drove that for the first time a couple of weeks ago.  I'm glad I got the chance, although I wish it had been southbound instead of northbound.

Interesting how the control cities for southbound US 61/westbound US 24 will be changing from Hannibal and Monroe City to St. Louis and Kansas City (easternmost mention of Kansas City on US 24?).

Speaking of US 24 and Kansas City, the project for resigning the US 24 for the route changes is listed on the Tentative Lettings for June 2020 (Project 4I3233).
