Yes, still need a 42 bordering New Jersey.  Mine had NJ 42, but I was playing the NJ 41 off the NY 40.

Delaware & PA both have Route 42s:
DE Route 42
PA Route 42
Since there's must use your own photo requirement still in play; I can't contribute since I don't have any personal photos of these routes.

I'm kicking myself because I planned to get a PA 42 photo in October 2015 but it got too dark before I got there.

I can take us back to NJ for 45, but I'll wait a while to see if someone wants to go back to PA or MD instead, since both have a 45.

WV 46 >> Ohio 47

Watch out for states with US50, 51, and 52.
I could do IN 48 >> IL 49 >> WI-50, so we're far enough north to avoid US50...Then, IA-51 would be possible, then jumping southwest we could have a few states with 52's.  We'll want to stay away from MN/WI/IL/IN/OH for 52.  MI-50 and MI-51 would trap us.

(This should force a play of IN 51 or OH 51, which will avoid any play that would corner us into a US 52 end of the game.)

Well I think Mr. Elkins or someone ought to have a KY-52.  It's gonna be our only option.

(RI 51 and RI 77 are impossible to get to.)

How is a state highway impossible to get to?

There is no CT-50, CT-76, MA-50, or MA-76.  Hence, we cannot get to RI-51 or RI-77 in this game.

Actually, we can, from NY 50 or NY 76 - Rhode Island technically has a border with New York.

This is an obscure fact that's great for tripping people up in trivia. Ask "how many states border New York?" and almost everyone will get it wrong.
If you always take the same road, you will never see anything new.

Because you shifted the goal posts. You cannot make me start caring about water borders.
You don't see me goin' around saying Illinois borders Michigan.

So, NJ and Delaware don't border then? Maryland and Virginia?

How so? The original rules simply say "a state adjoining the location". No one ever said the border had to be a land border. I didn't shift any goalposts, I merely pointed out an alternative possibility within the existing goalposts that hadn't been considered.

To add some fuel to this fire, I will also point out that had the Orient Point-Watch Hill Bridge been built, it would have been possible to drive directly from New York into Rhode Island. If that bridge existed, would you still not care about this border?
If you always take the same road, you will never see anything new.

Many political borders are created due to bodies of water, whether lakes, rivers, or oceans. The problem is when one argues whether Florida has a water border with South Carolina and all points north.

Is there New York State <-> Block Island auto ferry? Then I'd say it counts, but I don't know of one (a Narragansett <-> Block Island ferry exists). If we're going to introduce any shipping or cruise line, as opposed to auto ferries, then we're kind of opening things up past the scope of the thread/forum, in my opinion.

Nevertheless, it does, as does Minnesota. Whether or not someone cares about certain borders, or goes around referring to them, was never made a condition of the game. If they exist, they count, unless we find some other interpretation of "state adjoining".
