wow those 281s sure look hideous in contrast, while the 282 is almost acceptable.



that may be my very last eagle shield photo... still around as of 2008 when I took that photo.  As you can see, I blurred out the name of the cross street so the sign stays around!  It has an installation date of 1973 on the back.

The 281-282 shields are brand new, put up in the last 2 months.  Dunno why they used a 2-digit for 282.

As for the eagle 126:  I know where it is, but I'll keep the secret, and it was still there 2 weeks ago.  There is another OR 126 eagle shield in another city, and that's it: the only two eagles I know of still left in Oregon.

I wish I'd taken a picture of WA 126 while it still existed.  I drove it a couple times back in the day, but wasn't taking highway photos then.
