Government would be tolerable if not for politicians and bureaucrats.

Nice cluster (cool scenery, too). Looks like the "East" sign is a little older (no tall letter).

Now THAT is a cool photo.  Right on the state border, I assume?

This one's for Jake: a wide 282 shield:

yep, the Missouri/Iowa gantry is in the first exit in Iowa.  I saw it in Oct '09 - still there with the two different standards on all the gantries at Exit 1.  Not too far away is a 1950s green and white square county route marker.

the 282 is terrible.  thank you for bringing it to my attention, now where is the bleach so I can make my eyes stop bleeding?

here is a 35 that looks great - paired with an x82, even.  1959 photo.

Switch to US 35 with an add on OH 435.  (This should actually read TO US 35 as US 35 is on a freeway alignment that crosses over I-71.

Let's move south below the border and go way west.  CA-35/Skyline Blvd is a very scenic route that runs along the ridgeline of the Santa Cruz Mountains before dropping down into San Francisco.  Photo shows the CA-84/CA-35 junction.  From AARoads.

If I owned a dam and decided to donate it to charity, would I be giving a dam? I'm sure that might be a first because no one really gives a dam.
