Government would be tolerable if not for politicians and bureaucrats.

France sure loves to load up on control cities!

And the use of capitals also makes it over-cluttered.

I have never succeeded in finding a state-named I-190 in South Dakota.  So here is an I-90.

SD rarely uses name shields much anymore. Nice to see a cut-out for US 14, though.
Meanwhile, here's another 34 ;)

luckily their maintenance is a tad spotty ... alas old US-77 and US-81 were just under construction when I was there so quite likely a number of I-29 shields vanished.  I could not find a single one with the old specs.

I do not know why this 43 was stamped out with space for a suffix, but no suffix.  Likely a sign shop goof.

Again, I wish I'd started this hobby when I was younger and there were still bunches of state-name interstate shields around.

Anyway, my next contribution in this strand:

I believe Oregon stopped with the eagles in 1974 - and who knows when for the interstate shields, but long ago for sure.  My guess is 1970 because that's when that dang federal spec came out.

I'm out of eagles but here is a former US-99 guide sign

I've been interested for years, but I never knew there were others out there like me until 8-10 years ago, so I never thought about taking photos :(

Does that count as an interstate or a Cal state route?

Same here.  Of course, there really wasn't an internet back in my 20's, so there was no way for me to know there were any others.

I actually took a few road photos way back when, but low quality ones and they've all got lost with all the moving around I did in my early career.

Here's my next photo, keeping with Texas US Routes
