Like these last few years I come from 2018 to wish the best for all you who are still in 2017. Even though my forum time is still in the previous year, I have to continue my tradition :sombrero:.

Edit to add: Congratulations to bugo for posting the first message in 2018 in my (real life) time zone!

So far, does 2018 seem to be better than 2017? I want to know if 2018 will be a better year.

2016 and 2017 have both been crazy in the United States. Not sure about Spain, though.

I believe the crime rate for 2018 is exactly zero in your area right now, so that should be at least one sign of a better year.

2017 was pretty crazy in Spain, particularly because of the Catalan affair. 2016 was better, as we had no government for most of the year. So far 2018 seems better, but nobody knows.

No government is better than government?

So 2018 trumps 2017? Put in your two pence. :bigass:

Happy New Year!!!!!!

Never have I ever been so excited for a new year! I am ready to kick 2017 into the past and start a new, better year (2018), because as a calendar year as a whole, 2017 was the absolute worst for me (and it contained by far the highest amount of different individual times I have seriously contemplated suicide, especially due to severe mental illnesses and the situational stress of Junior Year of High School).

Goodbye to this hell of a year, and let us celebrate the hell out of the 2018 that is to come!!

I am ready for a new year. A new year, a new start and its going to be significant for me.

Hopefully 2018 is much better than 2017 for me; 17 was just a steaming pile of horse feces, probably the worst year since high school (which was the worst time of my life).  I like the calendar for this year; hopefully that's a sign of good things to come?

2017 was up and down for me. I need a fresh start in 2018.

The Winter Classic today has mock BGSs set up just beyond the rink with I-87 and I-90 shields to denote that the game involves the Rangers and Sabres (the Sabres are the home team even though the game is in Queens, this because of a tax exemption that requires the Rangers to play all their home games at Madison Square Garden).
