US Highway 49, start to finish

It took us two separate trips to cover all of US-49.  We started with a trip from Gulfport, Mississippi up to Yazoo City, MS and then on 49W up to Tutwiler.  Then a month later, we went up to Yazoo City and took 49E to Tutwiler, and then up to the very end in Piggott, Arkansas.  The route we followed was the current alignment of US-49, which bypasses a lot of the small towns, especially in Mississippi.  In the future, we may attempt to follow it again, and take the Old-49 routes to see a bit more of the towns that grew along the route nearly a century ago.
