Going to steer things back my way with a trip west on I-80 from NYC to Joliet.  Photo taken on IL-43 northbound.

Isn't I-80 duplexed with I-95 to the GW bridge!?

No. It ends at I-95. This is a common misconception.

Not my best picture, but this will let paulthemapguy get us to Joliet if he wants:

Take I-287 from White Plains to Parsippany, New Jersey.  May 23, 2009.

Yeah, I made the same mistake when I posted the I-80 sign that also had Paterson on it. Then again, you should also remember that I-80 does not go to Chicago either, I-15 does not go to Los Angeles, I-5 does not go to San Francisco, and I-95 does not go to Boston or Washington, despite the signs saying otherwise.
Go Cubs Go! Go Cubs Go! Hey Chicago, what do you say? The Cubs are gonna win today!

I-95 does go to Washington, but only for a few hundred feet.

I-40 doesn't go to LA either.

I digress.

I-65 does not go to Chicago either, but I knew that already growing up! However, you can access I-65 by taking I-64 from Chesterfield to Louisville:

About face to New Albany via I-64:

Jim

I know this will likely require getting out on the same route we came in on, but as it's US 62, there should be plenty of options.

Jump to New Albany, Ohio, then take US 62 to Tionesta, Pennsylvania.  May 25, 2002.

I've crossed PA-36 a bunch of times, but I couldn't find anything really suitable to play without using US-62.

Take US 71 further south to Texarkana. Take your pick of either Texas or Arkansas...71 runs down the state line there.
