Amid all the super freeways and mammoth bridge structures I visited on my two recent Bay Area trips I was able to visit a couple things that were more my typical speed, in this case the Felton Covered Bridge.  The Felton Covered Bridge is located on the San Lorenzo River in the southern Santa Cruz Mountains in Felton and is located down stream from Graham Hill Road.  The Felton Covered Bridge was completed by 1893 and apparently stayed open to traffic until 1937.  Reportedly the Felton Covered Bridge is the tallest of it's kind left in the United States but I can't completely confirm that.  Down stream there is remains of a 1908 SP truss rail bridge and even the 1937 Graham Hill Road arch concrete replacement just upstream isn't too shabby to look at either.
