Louisiana 29 => 29 miles to return to the US 50 mainline, in 2011 on California's Mormon Emigrant Trail (Forest Service scenic route, then in use as temporary Alternate US 50) detour around US 50 construction closures:

I don't think the 29 to 40 play was valid, since they're distances to two different destinations.  But either way, this should be a next valid play.  New York 29 or New York 40 in Middle Falls.  December 12, 2004.

Actually, I think kphoger's 29 to 40 play was valid. While they are distances to two different destinations, those distances are from the same origin (the Mormon Emigrant Trail sign).

Anyway, New York 29 or 40 => New York 230:

You can't "jump" that way, as "Jct Rte 50 29" and "Placerville 40" are not identical except for number.
