New Vehicles With Non-Sparkle Paint

I've noticed that a lot of new vehicles have non-sparkle paint. Its been a long time since this was a thing. What are your opinions on it?

I'm assuming you mean tri-coat metallic paint?  My assumption is that the technique just has lost popularity to flatter colors.  Likewise there is an increasing diversity of colors which are becoming popularized over the typical dealer stock; white, black, silver and red/
