I-540 in Arkansas (Future I-49)

I-540 around Fort Smith, Arkansas (probably remaining I-540)

Where did the CA 420 shield come from?

some sign company made it by shrinking the standard design 50% and selling it as a novelty.

here, have some 405s from California.

Yes, the south leg will likely remain 540, especially since 49 is under construction east of Ft Smith  :sombrero:

Well, since 2 digits are allowed (tolerated?)

In any case, I get to show off some Ohio button copy that is probably extinct.

But two digits aren't allowed. The button copy's not bad despite that, though.

Government would be tolerable if not for politicians and bureaucrats.

I still haven't heard definitively if 2digits are allowed or not, so here goes:

Again, the post from Scott on 5/01 regarding the ambiguity.

Let's go with including the zeroes for now. We've seen a lot of the two-digit routes in previous games; let's go with the three-digits, as it seems that we've had no problems fulfilling the quota for 501/105.

I mean if people are going to ignore my advice on holding photos for the same combination on future dates once the requisite 10 are achieved on a given date, it's simply going to make the game more unwieldy to change the rules midstream to clearly allow two-digit numbers. I think a side benefit would be if it were really felt that not enough three-digit images would fit a given day, then there's an impetus to go out and make more.

^ The sign in that last photo makes no sense. Using text and a shield for US 550...not to mention a the distance to Denver (439) coming before the other much shorter distances...

I thought the same thing too....when do you see an urban mileage sign with control destination of 439 miles?  Those are typically limited to surface streets and intersecting highways.

Since I saw ctsignguy post some of his collection, I'll post a pic of mine since I don't have a 505 or a 550 in my field pics collection...

There are only 2 words needed to describe that sign: New Mexico. :D That sign is on I-25 near NM 556 in North Albuquerque.
