Why not?  It's the detour for the southern interchange.

I think the state-name in the I-20 shield makes up for the odd font placement enough for this sign to not really fit here....

If you turn the sign upside down, they make for a semi-passable (by non-Caltrans standards) variant of a CA 66 shield.

I saw this image recently on an ad. It's amazing what gets drawn up, posted on the web, then reused by someone who actually thinks it's a good idea to use that particular image.

This is the worst deformation of the Québec route shield I've seen (at least in terms of shape). It's too squished, even when compared to the BGS shield.

This is the worst deformation of the Québec route shield I've seen (at least in terms of shape). It's too squished, even when compared to the BGS shield.

I'm used to Wisconsin's counties putting up non-standard county highway shields, but this one at US 12/WIS 16 in Lyndon Station might be the worst I've seen. They tried to combine the destination sign with the shield, making it look like Reedsburg has city highways in a completely different city.
