Curious how many Japanese rock and metal bands got bigger outside of Japan than in it. I would know wide swathes of rock and music fans who have no idea who a band like B'z is, and sadly I only ever learned of them from the guitarist guesting in Steve Vai and Babymetal songs. Anthem, X-Japan and Loudness are still much bigger in Japan relative to outside of it.
