Correct! This is OR 229 between Kernville and Siletz. Unfortunately, Street View is old and doesn't show the speed limit signs, but I drove this road quite a bit on my last vacation. It's fairly difficult to go anywhere near 55 MPH on most of that route!

You got it! It's US-441 just inside the south entrance of Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Most of US-441 is 45 MPH through the park, which on the mostly 2 lane curvy road actually feels fine. But this wide open stretch at 35 is a head scratcher, even by national park standards. Probably because it's right near the visitor center though.
