Yes, and I agree it's ridiculous! This is heading into Ottawa, ON from the MacDonald-Cartier Bridge. It goes from 40 to 30 then back to 40 (GSV link).

Wow!! I actually had 110 km/h typed out before changing it to 30. I really thought there was no way it could be either speed. (Of course, if I could have seen the reverse view I never would have guessed 110, LOL!)

Yeah I probably won't find a spot as deceiving as that one again.

You got it... I-390 just south of I-590. It changes from 65 mph to 55 about a mile south of here.

I wasn't watching this thread for whatever reason, but I recognized that location immediately. The intersection in the background is Boteler and King Edward, which is also on the cover of April Wine's "Harder...Faster" album:

It is 55 unfortunately, on NY-24 west of Riverhead. Here is the GSV link. It is not a freeway, but I would argue it certainly fits the category of expressway, this particular section anyway. Drivers seem to agree, since 87% of them exceed 55 mph and the 85th percentile speed in 72 mph, according to NYS data.

Yeah, it is unfortunate that NY does not post anything above 55 mph on non-freeways... although that still might not be as bad as I-495 on Long Island.
