It's on an access road to a soccer complex (that's what the lights in the background were for) I traveled to for a tournament as part of my job as a referee. The wonky one-way road setup to the parking lot is fairly interesting.

Interesting, I figured it had to be something like that. Never would have thought to look on that type of road for a speed limit - around here that would probably be 10 or 15 mph or, more likely, not have a posted speed limit.

You are partially correct: the speed limit is 45 mph, but it is in fact a full freeway (at least in my mind). This is NY-201 NB in Johnson City just north of the Riverside Dr exit. I figured you guessed 50 because you thought it was in NYC.

Interesting! I didn't know where this was, I never would have pegged it as the Binghamton area, but wouldn't have thought it was NYC either because of the hills in the background. Well chosen spot, though - and some spectacular fall scenery, even by upstate NY standards!
