That's Virginia for you! Check out I-495, VA-267, I-66, all in the same area. All 55 mph highways, should be 65 mph.

The express lanes are posted at 70 mph immediately west of I-495, and would be at the location in question... but the general purpose lanes in that location are posted at 55 mph, and then incrementally go up to 60 mph then 65 mph as you approach Manassas. West of Gainesville and US-15, where the highway becomes a rural 4 lane interstate, it goes up from 65 mph to 70 mph.

The express lanes on I-495, I-95, and I-395 are all posted at a maximum of 65 mph.

Too confusing, a simple 83 mph speed limit sign across all lanes would make more sense, including on that all-famous VA 28 bypass! Anyway, who is going next? I'm trying to get better at this game, I've only gotten 1 right so far.

It eventually gets up to 70 there.  It just stair-steps:  25→35→45→70
