All you are going do to reply to another "Illinois is flat"  quip?  Weak, but totally on brand.

You know what's funny is that the part of Michigan I live in is flat as a pancake. Saginaw County is very flat as is the thumb of Michigan.

Southern Michigan is hilly, Oakland County is hilly, northern Michigan is hilly, the western U.P. is hilly but in no way am I going to say that Michigan is hilly overall as a state that would be silly. You are taking slight elevation change because of a small hill or something and claiming that Illinois is not flat because of that.

Saginaw County also lacks a natural inland lake which is rare for a Michigan county especially one as large in area as Saginaw County. Michigan boosts thousands of lakes but I'm not going to go telling people that Saginaw County has lakes because it doesn't. And all you are doing is trying to prove your right by showing GSV's that don't show any elevation change.

I have been through Illinois and have not seen these hills you keep talking about. Illinois has a lot of farm land and that farm land is there because of the flatness. Saginaw County and the thumb area in Michigan also has a lot of farm land because of the flatness. There is no need to keep trying to prove to anyone that Illinois isn't flat, it is flat and so is Saginaw County, Michigan but you don't see me trying to say it isn't.

You can actually look at a map and see that about Saginaw County. Only a few Illinois counties actually look like Saginaw County on a map. Get off of I55 and you'll see that Illinois isn't flat. For example I used to think Montgomery County was flat until I drove IL127.
I've been off I-55 and still think that Illinois is flat. The only county in Illinois that isn't flat is Jo Daviess County which I have commented on before. I still don't know why you are debating on if the second flattest state in the nation is indeed flat or not. Why do you think Illinois has so much farm land? It isn't because it's hilly.

Illinois is the second flattest state in the nation.

Completely false, that would be Louisiana or Mississippi. They don't have much variance between the lowest and highest points.

Seriously, what is with people being offended when someone says their state is flat? Why does it matter? Who cares? How does the flatness of your state impact you as a person? Why do you even care what outsiders think of the state you live in?

Maybe people have some uniquely American state pride syndrome, and feel the need to express how great their state is, even when they know it's boring?

Flat is boring.  No one wants to be boring.

If you want to get into really weird American pride, you have arguments over whose weather is worse (e.g., "We get more snow!" or "You don't know what heat is!").

I'm not a trucker.  Until I read this post of yours, I didn't know you were neither Republican nor white.  But I still think your videos are trash.

I feel as though we are owed explanation from the OP for items two and three, that's some pretty toxic stuff to put out there.  But then again, the OP tends to get himself backed into corners of logic and resorts to low blows to scare people off from asking questions.

I'd counter the videos are more than trash, they are often examples of the OP staging scenarios he thinks will be sensational enough to create a buzz.  The fact that OP deliberately is trying to poke at the trucker sites on Facebook is pretty telling that it is all about views off a garbage brand product.

I sincerely doubt the OP has the actual courage to come back and lend explanation for the things he's said.  I would be willing to bet though that he'll certainly chime in about the terrain variation of Illinois since that for whatever reason is his brand to stand by.

I didn't say that Kansas is the flattest state. I just pointed out the irony of a university from a flat state confirming the flatness of Illinois. (And I also didn't click the link or notice the title of the research paper until I saw the HTML link and text revealed in this reply.

Some might say North Dakota is flat, but I thoroughly enjoyed riding across it on US 2.

And as far as Kansas goes, the Flint Hills aren't quite the central Appalachians, but they're scenic in their own right. But they aren't exactly tall peaks.

For the most part but their highest elevation is quite high 4,039 feet above sea level. I can't help it that this is very near the Colorado border though, the highest point in Illinois is very near the Wisconsin border.

Flat but not level. It's a pretty constant elevation increase as you move west.

I'm amused that Crash has been online today but has elected to continue to dodge all questions regarding his latest rant.

Flint1979

Wait a minute. I know for a fact he's never been to Saginaw County because I remember awhile back when we were arguing with him another time he stated that the furthest he's been in Michigan was to like Niles or somewhere in SW Michigan that is barely in Michigan. So I go back to the question that he will most likely dodge, how do you know what Saginaw County looks like?

It's 2 possibly 3 forms of discrimination I'm facing there.

1) they don't like it when 4 wheelers highlight their own wrongdoings knowing that if it happened to them by another one of their own, they would be pissed

2) not Republican like they are

I looked on Google maps with the terrain feature selected. I've said that already in a previous reply. If you look at it with the terrain feature selected, you see no bumps or muscles of any kind which would indicate hills. Not many Illinois counties (if at all) look like that on the map
