I note from the SHOPP 22 list (and cahighways.org's CA-22 page) that Caltrans is providing money to the City of Long Beach to reconfigure the existing CA-22/Seventh Street on and off ramps to Studebaker Road. But I cannot find a project page or documents about the project anywhere online. Anybody know if this project is online somewhere?

What is wrong with the current configuration?

I assume it has to do with backups from Studebaker onto the eastbound on-ramp. I'm speculating they want to add a second lane for the on-ramp and ramp metering in order to reduce the traffic backing up onto Studebaker and prevent mainline traffic slowing at the merge.

Nope, I was wrong.  Has to do with realigning the westbound ramps and accommodating a bike lane project on Studebaker.  Here's the diagram.
