100 Route Posts!!!

Today is the release date for the 100th Route Post published onto Hunty Roads. The website has come a long, long way from December 2022. The original route posts from then up until March 2023 were pretty unorganized, following a "destination" style for what is now "The Route Path". I picked today for the release of the 100th post because it is the 1 year anniversary of my May 18, 2023 Trip to North Carolina. For the 100th post, there is only one obvious choice for what route it would be, and the 100th Route Post is...

I have added a new feature to Hunty Roads just now. Below the logo and "About the Owner" sections on the right side of the site is a new section with 3 route posts. The posts shown in this section are completely random, with new posts every time you go to another page.



Very similar to the "Popular Posts" at the bottom of the site (VA-20, I-66, US 33). Speaking of popular posts, VA-20 and I-66 have both become the first ever route posts to reach 100 views.

I have also decided to add "Route of the Week" and "Featured Trips" sections. The first ever ROTW is VA-229. The first ever Featured Trips are March 18, 2023 (Culpeper) and July 15, 2023 (VA Beach).

With this is also the possibility of me removing the Random Posts section.

I'm officially back to doing Hunty Roads content often again! I have released a Road Trip page for June 5, 2023, the final trip I took before switching to the "zoomed out horizontal" photo style I still use to this day. That move was also made one year ago today, with just 32 extra minutes added.

HUNTY ROADS HAS EXPANDED TO THE TARHEEL STATE!!!

If you've seen my previous Monthly Blog Posts, you will see that this expansion had a topic in them. I've had this idea since at least January, and after my trip yesterday which went through the State of North Carolina, I've decided to go ahead and greenlight the expansion. I also decided to go with the separate site direction I mentioned in a few posts.

Currently, the site is still under construction, but looks almost identical to the VA site, with many brand new features not seen on the other site (+ a couple of returning features) to come in the next couple of weeks.

The very first Route Post to be published on the new site is also the very first route I've clinched in the state.
