I think a lot of the Central Freeway demolition proponents don't understand much of the remaining structure is over 13th Street.  I'm not sure how that equates into new anything if it was removed?

All those Palm and Pine headlines sure stirred controversy amongst those who don't read the actual articles.  That said, even when I post something more overtly clear there was still people who were upset about varying things.  Most people wanted to the current palm and pine (cedar) moved to the new monument. A lot of others didn't understand that the close proximity of the Union Pacific Railroad is a significant challenge to widen 99 south of Madera.

Amusingly the eucalyptus tree removal on 101 near Prunedale was far less controversial.  Most people seemingly hate those trees for being invasive.  I found that a little odd given that stretch of 101 has some unique scenery.

I hate those trees, because they seem to be a lot less wind-tolerant than anything native! Branches seem to hit parked cars in SF all the time during the winter storms...

During the bomb cyclones in early 2023 a bunch of eucalyptus trees collapsed where I was working out in Monterey.  They ended up taking out the power lines and causing all sorts of havoc.  Probably would have killed someone if they were unlucky enough to be walking on the wrong spot along Del Monte.

M3100

I've driven, but never knew about, CA SR 275 (Tower Bridge) in Sacramento.  This route does not appear in TravelMapping.  Is this one of those relinquished routes that does not meet the current criteria for inclusion on TM?

Max Rockatansky

I think it isn't in TM because 275 isn't signed.
