Quote from: Max Rockatansky on Today at 11:06:20 AM9-4-25:  What is the best type of bridge design to facilitate limited access highway travel?

The Francis Scott Key Bridge was exemplary in this regard.  As Scott Kozel has pointed out, the bridge's design recently limited highway travel across it quite a bit.

Lockhart, TX.

As it is, the 85 MPH bypass isn't an Interstate, and it's only eight lanes.  We can do better!  I say we designated it as I-835, and make both the mainline and frontage roadways four lanes each.

Natural bridges.  Natural arches are included for this purpose.

Saves a ton on construction costs. Unfortunately this reduces most limited access highway corridors to remote areas of Utah.
