By the way, why did this thread survive into a second page while mine back in 2021 got locked in like 5 posts? Well probably because the admin who locked it hasn't even logged onto the forum in 1 month. That's very strange how he's still an admin then with no activity in a month...

No, it's a major problem. This is bruising my pride and hurting my forum reputation, and showing blatant favoritism to certain users on this forum with more seniority and status than others. I will not stand for this!

If I had opined "the previous Biden administration," that would be a guaranteed thread lock.

For what it's worth, I am pretty sure the number of post reports submitted by liberals (and progressives and socialists) that I choose not to act on is higher than the number of those submitted by conservatives which I choose not to act on.

Typically, the point at which I consider something "political" is when people are calling out individual politicians or specific political parties. So, yeah. I just noticed a post of that nature slipped by me upthread, so I'm going to take care of that.

I'm not into reporting posts, although I have done a few (very few) when I've felt that my side of the aisle has been unfairly targeted while the opposite side gets by with it.

You demonize the "others" all the time and get away with it. kphoger doesn't. 1995hoo doesn't. thspfc doesn't. CoreySamson doesn't.

Has 1995hoo ever been identified as a conservative? Reading when he mentions politics, he seems like a moderate/centrist.

From the comment, it says that it would be surprising who he voted for in the last 3 elections, so my guess is that he voted third party or Dem like many other suburban conservatives who are turned off by Trump.

What exactly does that prove? My father was a lifelong registered republican who voted for Obama twice. It may be difficult for you youngins to remember, but the political sphere wasn't always as polarized as it is now.

The point is personal convictions, not voting records.

Reputation?  It is an internet forum that caters to an extremely niche hobby.  Regular people don't care about what goes on here.  It isn't much different off forum since those groups are largely comprised of people also here.

I never would assume that. I might hate certain conservative politicians, but like 4 of my 5 best friends are conservative or conservative leaning.

The /s is very well known on Reddit, but not sure how much it is used elsewhere. We don't have Karma here, for the structure of this forum a Karma system doesn't work well. Honestly, the like feature doesn't seem to have affected this forum much, and I sometimes don't even realize it's there.
