A new episode of CA Route by Route is up. This is a bonus episode that explores the roads leading to two ghost towns. One, Idria (New Idria) is in the mountains of San Benito County; the other, Hites Cove, is in the mountains W of El Portal near Yosemite. I never knew about these towns, but the history is fascinating.
