That's a Wash

Arkansas has once again proven it prowess in washed out highways. This time, it's US 62 west of Eureka Springs. Part of the roadway has washed out near Thorncrown Chapel.

Two years ago, US 71 washed out north of Mountainburg, as did AR 23 along the Pig Trail north of Ozark.

There's another section of 71, near Artist's Point, that appears a likely candidate for a washout as well: the road has already developed cracks and has begun to shift.

It's just not Arkansas if the roads aren't washing away.
