Here's a tough one. Do any of you know of exits on interstates whose exit numbers match the highway at the interchange? For example, an interstate has exit 1 with a state or US highway 1 it exits to. I know of only 2 of the top of my head and both are down south. Here's a link to a picture of one in Louisiana i used to pass frequently:

I only know of one other and I'll wait to see if someone names it.

Oh and Kudos to whomever can pronounce the town correctly in my link   :-D

Exit 50 on Interstate 65 in Indiana is for US 50.
Indiana: counties 100%, highways 100%
Illinois: counties 100%, highways 61%
Michigan: counties 100%, highways 56%
Wisconsin: counties 86%, highways 23%

Exit 1 on I-95 in Massachusetts is a southbound-only loop-around ramp to US-1.

Also, US-4 is one of the routes listed on the signs for Exit 4 on I-95 in New Hampshire, but I'm not sure whether that counts because the exit also serves NH-16.

@texaskdog....no, the town Cloutierville in the link in my post.

@1995hoo  I don't think it matters as long at the highway is shown on the sign. i was just curious if there were many out there.

Do you guys have pics of these anywhere?

Exit 64 on I-40 in Arkansas is for U.S. 64.

NC had one back in 2008.  Exit 220 off I-40 used to be US 220.  Now that I-40 is going back through Death Valley, it's to Randleman Road (which is old US 220, but I don't think that counts)

Exit 1 off US 7 in Norwalk, CT is for US 1.
If you always take the same road, you will never see anything new.

I-87/New York Thruway exit 17 leads to NY 17K (not sure if that counts)
I-87/I-287/New York Thruway exit 9 leads to US 9
DE 141 exit 4 leads to DE 4
NY 17/Future I-86 exit 79 leads to NY 79
I-90/Massachusetts Turnpike exit 16 leads to MA 16

Exit 50 on Interstate 65 in Indiana is for US 50.
Also in Indiana:
I-74 exit 25 is SR 25
I-465 exit 31 is US 31
I-465 exit 37 is SR 37

This happens more often than you might think. In Kentucky, I-64's Exit 75 (eastbound only) is for I-75, and I-75's Exit 25 is for US 25W. I know of, but cannot think of offhand, several more examples.

Exit 104 to QC-104 off of A-30 in La Prairie.

It's about to disappear though, as the exit is about to be renumbered to 62.

Interstate 87 Exit 7 of the Adirondack Northway is for NY 7 East.

Central Avenue

In Columbus:

Exit 104 off I-71 is for OH 104. (Though I don't have a picture)

Exit 23 off I-270 is for US 23.

Interestingly, the same interchange is signed as Exit 23 off of US 23 (though this only counts US 23's mileage in Franklin County)

Exit 27 for US-101 is with CA-27, better known as Topanga Cyn. Blvd.

The closest Nevada gets to having one of these situations is being one digit away on I-80 near the Eureka/Elko county line (actually in Elko County, I think) in Northeastern Nevada. The west Carlin interchange is Exit 279, which serves SR 278.

CT:

VT:
I-89 Exit 15 - VT 15 / Winooski / Essex Jct   (the only partial interchange on an interstate in Vermont)
I-91 Exit 5 - TO US 5 / Westminster  (indirect)

NH:
I-89 Exit 11 - NH 11 East / New London

the closest near-miss I can think of is the north 75/275 split in the Tampa Bay area.  It's exit 274 on I-75.

really, they couldn't have fudged it?  the exits around there are 270, 274, 275, 279 - they could've bumped the 274 and 275 up by one without much of a problem.

Similar thing with I-88.  NY 8 is at exit 9.  Or as I like to put it, "NY 7 intersects NY 8 near I-88 at exit 9".  Yes, really.

On I-10 East at the "Other Desert Cities" exit it's CA 111 and the exit was renumbered Exit #111.
