I'm probably the only person who thinks that mountain pass signs are cool. I don't know why. Maybe it's seeing the elevations, or what not but these things are fun to me. So if anyone has any pictures of mountain pass signs, please do post.

Could you imagine getting directions from a guy with tourettes?

Probably not quite what you are thinking, but I always liked this sign on US-12 west of White Pass

I like them, too, and I resent it when they're not posted with the elevation.  Oregon's pretty good at posting these, even on the relatively low passes in the Coast Range.

Nevada signs most mountain passes, typically with name of pass/summit and elevation. An example from Wikipedia: State Route 266 at Lida Summit.

Nevada also signs elevations on its city/town name signs. Using both signs in concert, one can really see the variance in elevation on a drive throughout the state.

Colorado has lots of mountain passes, and perhaps for that reason seems hit-or-miss on posting them, since even a pass over 10,000 feet is not necessarily anything special in that state.

Yeah me too. I live in Portland and drive around quite a bit. Unfortunately, I can't get out and get pictures.
