EDIT/ADDITION -- I consider "sine salad" to be an assembly with FIVE (5) or more markers. To me, four or fewer signs doesn't qualify.

(Mods: If you feel the need to move this to the photos/videos area, feel free).

For photos of assemblies with a whole lotta signing going on. Here's three to get started, from my latest Flickr uploads.

(Personally, I think "giraffe assembly" is the best term for this, but call it what you want...)

four US routes, four shield shapes. only the right 19 is correct, and that has the wrong font width.  :pan:

New York seems to have a lot of built up sign salads...

Wow, that's very near my last residence.

And I thought the opening scene of "Sugarland Express" (which fixes on a rather busy set of Texas guide signs as the movie opens) was crazy. If anyone has that DVD, I'd love to see a still of it.

Mods:  Any way to get the spelling corrected on the thread title?  It's just gonna drive me bonkers (and I'm all that matters, don't you know  ;-) )

In Slaterland, that is the correct spelling.  :D

"Sine Salad"?   For a moment there, i thought this was a tribute to Comrade Yamamoto!

It is. I used his description for these busy assemblies.

But the spelling is integral to the thread! Besides, the differential in the spelling is quite small. Though, I do have to admit, it is a bit of a derivative pun. Shall we make hbelkins walk the Planck?

A favorite of mine from Folkston, Georgia.  Of course, it's both US 23 and Georgia 23 to the north.

Actually, my wife took that picture while on the US 127 yard sale a couple of years ago. But I think I took a picture of the same collection myself once upon a time.

More from some of my wife's efforts to help out with my signgeekery. Georgia is good for serving up sine salad.
