Don't see many vertical "New York style" salads like that in Louisiana.

The most P's you'll ever see in a sign cluster
And PP is funny in its own right

If only the signs were yellow...

Ok I'll see myself out lol

Found some Virginia salad while looking through some old photos

Some cutout salad!

Unisign salad!

Government would be tolerable if not for politicians and bureaucrats.

Love the OLD bannering... somehow I would think TxDOT wouldn't go to the trouble/expense of labeling an old highway unless it's what they've done to label Old Route 66 in the panhandle.

Saw this beauty in Batavia, NY on my roadtrip to Buffalo this weekend: https://www.google.com/maps/@43.0006598,-78.1919628,3a,19.5y,212.84h,91.32t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sR7VIY8xwLwUlfteFPio_Rw!2e0!7i13312!8i6656!6m1!1e1

Variations of the Batavia one have been posted on many occasions including by myself!
What's not to like about highways and bridges, intersections and interchanges, rails and planes?

Here's a small helping from Mississippi, featuring an I-55 trailblazer, a SH 32 mainline shield, and a Scenic Route SH 32 shield. This was taken just east of Oakland, Miss., where Scenic 32 turns off of US 51 and joins mainline 32.

Mississippi's scenic routes are few and far between; they're a bit  of a misnomer. Ultimately, they primarily serve to provide access to recreational facilities at Sardis, Enid, and Grenada Dams.

^^ I'm wondering what purpose all those "up" arrows are serving. My understanding is that arrows should be used to indicate some action the driver should take, either at the point of the posting or perhaps a reasonably short distance ahead. In the case of the up arrow, either "go straight ahead here" or "go straight ahead when you reach the next intersection." Since I can't see any intersection ahead, I presume that these are reassurance markers, in which case the arrows are without purpose.

Not to mention the redundant state route shield. Is there any possibility that Scenic MS-some-number doesn't follow MS-that-number?

I won't vouch too much for Mississippi's scenic route system, however, yes scenic routes are not always redundant with their parent route. Here is a marker on US 51 where it shares pavement with Scenic 32 north of Mississippi 32. (Those redundant arrows appear here, too. However, I'd say that's pretty rare. Mississippi doesn't usually do this.)

Here is is getting some love on I-55 southbound.

https://goo.gl/maps/KekLRqcfMT92 (The marker at the end of the ramp indicates Scenic Route 32 turns follows Country Road 36 which eventually crossed back over the interstate to US 51 then follows Mississippi 32 – as seen in the original post.)

In the case of Scenic Route 333 it has no parent. It's a loosely held together loop off of I-55 near  crossing the Grenada Dam near Grenada.

In this instance, it is co-signed with Mississippi 7 North:

Here's an independent sign just after if turns south off of Mississippi 7 toward the dam:

The new GSP signage in New Jersey has three different interchanges (not consecutive ramps now)all on one sign bridge.  I think that the furthest two exits could fit on one panel and be signed like many freeways have their advanced exits all on one line.   The top line could read Roselle Park- Union with the number 1 next to it.  Then US 22 & NJ 82 with the number 1 1/2 next to it.  Heck they could even fit in I-78 the third exit beyond as well and cut out all the extra metal and allow the money saved to go to other things.
Every day is a winding road, you just got to get used to it.

I wish there was a picture of the intersection of 1st Avenue and 24th Street North in Birmingham prior to the completion of the Red Mountain Expressway, circa 1969 or 1970.  At that time U.S. 11 was routed on 1st Avenue in both directions, and AL-75 North began at this intersection, continuing east of it.  U.S. 31 and U.S. 78 were routed on 24th Street in both directions.  AL-79 north began at this intersection, heading northward out of downtown, and U.S. 280 began at this intersection, heading south and east out of downtown.

Apologies if this has been posted before, but I hope it gets bonus points for a salad that forms a 6-digit palindrome.  Superior, Wisconsin, at the southern end of I-535.

3 dimensional !
It only looks that way. If you pan to the back of the assembly, the illusion is ruined.
Can't pan to the back. Google didn't drive thru the woods.
What illusion? There are five shields facing traffic from the east, and four shields facing traffic from the north.  One set of shields gives it width and height, the other gives it depth.  Three dimensions.
